Lia Purpura was awarded a Pushcart Prize, her fifth, for her essay, “The Creatures of the World Have Not Been Chastened.” Originally published in Emergence Magazine, the essay is a mediation on loss, regeneration, community, and Covid. The Pushcart Anthology #46 publishes “the best of the small presses” and will be released in early December.
