"Thou'rt a scholar; let us therefore eat and drink" (and the drinks and hors d'oeuvres are on us). Stop in to visit with former classmates and faculty in the English Department's new fourth floor offices in the Performing Arts & Humanities Building on September 16, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM as part of UMBC's fiftieth anniversary celebration. Enjoy literary trivia games, prizes, and the best views on campus. Two English Department faculty members and distinguished poets will share their work--Tanya Olson, who who the American Book Award in 2014 for her first book Boyishly, and Lia Purpura, whose work has appeared in the New Yorker and who was a recent Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship.
