Ph.D. in Writing, Rhetoric and American Cultures, Michigan State University
I am a lecturer of English at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. My Ph.D. is from Michigan State University with research in technical communication and emphasis in Writing, Rhetoric and American Cultures. My project in both the professional world and in the academy explores the communication practices of small scale farmers and ranchers in the USA and in Italy. That project has afforded me opportunities to teach in Sardegna, Italy, and China. I am particularly interested in using visual research methods to trace rhetorical ecologies in the field and in the classroom. I love teaching technical communications, advising International students, and sharing my experiences in the subdiscipline of Gender, Justice, and Environmental Change.
