Morgan Lehr Miller is the Maryland State Librarian and Head of the State Library Agency. In this role, Ms. Lehr Miller administers state and federal resources to advance library services and resources across Maryland, including the 24 public library systems, the State Library Resource Center, the Library for the Blind and Print Disabled, the Deaf Culture Digital Library, the State Library Construction Program, and the Library Associate Training Institute. Prior to her current position, she served as the Executive Director of the Cecil County Public Library system. Ms. Lehr Miller has served as the President of the Maryland Library Association and was instrumental in advancing the state’s historic Freedom to Read Act in 2024. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, her Master’s of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from Drexel University, and is
pursuing her doctorate in information leadership also at the University of Maryland, College Park.
Christine Feldmann is Director of Marketing and Communications for the Anne Arundel County Public Library, where she leads systemwide communications and advocacy efforts, provides strategic counsel to the CEO and Board of Trustees, and supports outreach across 16 branches and more than 300 staff. A seasoned public-sector communicator, she has held senior roles in Maryland state government and brings decades of experience in policy, engagement and crisis communications; she is also the author of Empowering Library Staff and Customers.
Andrea Lewis is the current president of Citizens for Maryland Libraries and has been a champion of libraries for decades. Her background encompasses nonprofit management, advocacy, public relations, programming and fundraising, and includes work with organizations such as Folger Shakespeare Library, Scholastic, the Public Library Association, and the Maryland State Library. She has spent nearly 30 years working in or with libraries in Maryland and across the country through consulting and committee work.
Stacey S. Nunn is a third-career educator with 17 years of experience and currently serves as a Library Media Specialist in Baltimore County. She is an active leader in the American Library Association (ALA), serving as Councilor-at-Large (2024–2027). Stacey is also a member of the Black Caucus of the ALA (BCALA), where she serves as Co-Chair of the Children’s Literary and Youth Book Award. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors for the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) as Director-at-Large (2025–2027). At the state level, she is a past president of the Maryland Association of School Librarians (MASL). She is a dedicated advocate for collection development and contributes to the Black-Eyed Susan Award and Election committee. Stacey holds degrees from Fisk University (BA), Syracuse University (MSW, MLIS), and Le Moyne College (MST), and completed a post-baccalaureate certification in Learning Technology at McDaniel College.
Betsy Peisach leads the Maryland Center for Media Literacy and Education, a program within Maryland Public Television. In this role, Ms. Peisach oversees a talented staff of early childhood professionals, preK-12 educators, and media producers who support teaching and learning, develop digital learning resources for students, and create online courses and training for educators and Maryland’s child care community. MPT’s highly regarded education website Thinkport.org serves as the gateway to these resources. Ms. Peisach is a graduate of the Leadership Maryland Executive Program and serves on the strategic steering committee at the Maryland Business Roundtable for Education. Previously, she served on the education committee at the Greater Baltimore Committee and was chair of the NETA Education Council.
